Far Niente : Chardonnay
This was the first of the labels Tom designed for Gil Nickel in 1979. It is a combination of a water color rendering of the grapes and leaves embossed, a pen and ink sketch of the winery and vineyard, gold embossed borders, black foil embossed winery name and varitial, dye cut and varnished. This label passes thru the press seven times before is ready to place on the bottle. It's said to be "the most detailed label in the industry." |
